Job Duties:

The Spirit Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Store and its employees and ordering, stocking, and maintaining Spirit Store merchandise and supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintains daily operations of the Spirit Store and course material pickup and drop-off site, ensuring that every patron receives excellent customer service.
Responsible for adequate daily staffing and scheduling of the Spirit Shop during regular business hours, admissions, academics, and other University Events.
Controls all product inventory and ensures the proper assortment of merchandise.
Sources visually appealing and affordable merchandise for all ages of students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
Works to find locally produced merchandise that is appealing and affordable.
Responsible for "Visual Merchandising" of the Spirit Stores inventory.
In conjunction with the Marketing Department, advertises and markets the spirit store to ensure that the marketing is visible on all media options possible.
Responsible for accurately reporting sales transactions, inventory, daily deposits, and reporting.
Regularly communicates with the administrative staff in all areas to ensure the spirit store has a visual presence at applicable University events.
Compliance with all university policies.
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing work scope and tasks based on need.
Proactively engages in problem-solving related to tasks with internal and external people in this position.
Serves as a member of the Spirit Stores Collaborative Team.

Required Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Associate degree or equivalent (60 semester hours) or applicable experience in retail management.
Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite and point-of-sale software systems.
Supervisory Experience

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students and customers
Effective oral and written communication skills

Salary Schedule:

Salary Band: P285
