Spirit Store Manager Closing Date:

Job Duties:
The Spirit Store Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Store and its employees and ordering, stocking, and maintaining Spirit Store merchandise and supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintains daily operations of the Spirit Store and course material pickup and drop-off site, ensuring that every patron receives excellent customer service.
  • Responsible for adequate daily staffing and scheduling of the Spirit Shop during regular business hours, admissions, academics, and other University Events.
  • Controls all product inventory and ensures the proper assortment of merchandise.
  • Sources visually appealing and affordable merchandise for all ages of students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
  • Works to find locally produced merchandise that is appealing and affordable.
  • Responsible for "Visual Merchandising" of the Spirit Stores inventory.
  • In conjunction with the Marketing Department, advertises and markets the spirit store to ensure that the marketing is visible on all media options possible.
  • Responsible for accurately reporting sales transactions, inventory, daily deposits, and reporting.
  • Regularly communicates with the administrative staff in all areas to ensure the spirit store has a visual presence at applicable University events.
  • Compliance with all university policies.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing work scope and tasks based on need.
  • Proactively engages in problem-solving related to tasks with internal and external people in this position.
  • Serves as a member of the Spirit Stores Collaborative Team.


Required Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Associate degree or equivalent (60 semester hours) or applicable experience in retail management.
  • Proficient use of the Microsoft Office suite and point-of-sale software systems.
  • Supervisory Experience

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with students and customers
  • Effective oral and written communication skills


Salary Schedule:
Salary Band: P285
Salary will be Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
